ABL

ABL has been a family business in the electrical engineering industry since 1923. In more than 90 years of company history, the company invented the SCHUKO plug and built the first automatic circuit breakers. Development, production and testing of all products takes place at ABL SURSUM in-house and is therefore the purest technology 'Made in Germany'. Albert Büttner from Lauf was the founder of the ABL company. In 1925 he invented the SCHUKO plug - the most common plug system in the world. Since then, ABL has been developing and producing connectors of international standards for trade, construction and industry. The ABL company is now also the European market leader with caravan feeders. The first circuit breaker was developed by ABL SURSUM in 1933. Today, ABL protective switching devices are used worldwide in building installations, in switchgear and mechanical engineering. Socket combinations for stationary and mobile use as well as electronic system components for boats and caravans complete the product range. Since 2011, ABL has also been developing and producing charging stations for electric vehicles and offers a complete e-mobility range with wall boxes and charging stations.
