The GMC Instruments Group is the parent company of various companies and brands such as Gossen Metrawatt, Camille Bauer, Kurth Electronic, Rigel Medical and a few others. The initials of the first two form the company name GMC. Engineer Paul Gossen followed with the manufacture and sale of electrical measuring devices in 1919. Both companies developed separately until they were taken over by the Röchling Group in the early 1990s and merged with the Swiss Camille Bauer Metrawatt AG. Development and production sites are located in Germany, Switzerland, England and the USA. The group also maintains a global sales network with partners such as the eibabo® technology store.
