WIC markers are applied to the cable by simply pressing with the ergonomically developed WIC tool or - if no tool is available - simply by hand. Simply insert the markers into the tool, press the first marker onto the cable, rotate and apply the next marker. As soon as all markers have been applied to the cable, they are pushed together until the lock clicks into place. Manual application is recommended for marking fiber optic cables. Larger cable diameters (6 mm² to 95 mm²) can be marked using the WIC accessories WICA. The sizes WIC0, WIC1 and WIC2 are tailored to this.
