However, the company has a history of more than 70 years that began with other items. A short journey through time: Moritz Kurt Juchheim founded a company for the production of glass and glass contact thermometers in Fulda in Hesse under the name MK Juchheim. He followed in the footsteps of his father, who himself was already producing thermometers in Thuringia. This resulted in today's Jumo GmbH & Co. KG, whose name is derived from the initials of its founder. Towards the end of the 1970s, the company expanded its portfolio to include processors for temperature control technology, thus reacting to the ever-increasing demands made by the sales market. This development has continued to this day and the company's innovations set standards that now go beyond the field of temperature sensor technology. As a family business, Jumo is now being run by the third generation and has opened up the Asian and Eastern European markets and thus new target groups. More than 2000 employees work for Jumo.
