Halogen lamp
Have you ever wondered what the difference is between a normal incandescent bulb and a halogen bulb? In a nutshell, a filament, usually a tungsten wire, is heated so much in a light bulb that it glows. Naturally, parts of the tungsten will vaporize and the filament will crack over time. This is also the case with halogen lamps, only with significantly higher temperatures. This makes the filament glow brighter. In order to prevent the associated faster wear of the filament, the glass bulb, which is made of quartz because of the high temperatures, is filled with a halogen gas, usually bromine or iodine. The evaporating tungsten combines to form tungsten bromide or tungsten iodide. Due to gas circulation in the bulb, the compound eventually gets close to the filament again, where it decomposes again into its starting materials due to the high temperatures. The tungsten is deposited again on the filament. You can buy halogen or metal halide lamps easily, quickly and securely here in the eibabo technology store.
