Motion detector

Basically, presence detectors and motion detectors are divided into devices applied in the conventional area or in building automation, whereby presence detectors can also be used as motion detectors and are therefore often the better choice. The differences and significant advantages of a presence detector compared to a motion detector (simple light measurement, disturbance caused by artificial light) are the universal application due to the special and permanent light measurement (daylight and / or mixed light measurement) even during the switch-on process. The light value is measured by means of a special sensor, which has a spectral sensitivity similar to the human eye. The typical difference is therefore the application. A KNX motion detector is used for switching on as soon as movement is detected and the importance of a KNX presence detector is that is switches the light off when no movement is detected or a brightness limit value has been exceeded in order to save energy. The complex sensor system in a presence detector can detect sensitive movements which are typical for offices or workplaces. The area of application of a motion detector is in small rooms, bathrooms, storage rooms, garages, hallways, stairs, or in outdoors. Both versions have a wide range of parameters for switching or dimming lighting, opening and closing blinds or shutters, controlling heating, air conditioning and ventilation, master / slave functions, blocking functions, logic functions, pets (house access for pets), alarm systems with other sensitivity modes, sneak-by guard, rear side monitoring, stairwell monitoring, constant light control and many more. Furthermore, several channels are often provided. The detection ranges and necessary mounting heights can also be very different and should be selected depending on the required application. Detectors with DUAL-HF technology are particularly able to penetrate glass, wood and lightweight construction walls. Eibabo offers a wide range of applications for KNX external motion detectors, KNX motion detectors, KNX presence detectors, KNX monitoring device, , KNX passive infrared motion detector, KNX PIR detector, KNX presence detector interfaces, KNX detector for high-frequency sensor technology, KNX ceiling presence detector, KNX wall presence detector, KNX automatic switch, KNX automatic attachment, radio bus motion detector, KNX radio motion detector solar, KNX hallway presence detector, KNX presence detector Comfort, KNX presence detector with contrast light control, KNX monitoring device sensor, KNX presence detector DALI, KNX radio motion detector, KNX IR presence detector Plus made by the following manufacturers: ABB, Berke, Busch-Jaeger, Eaton, EIBMARKT, eQ-3, Esylux, Gira, Hager, Issendorf, Jung, MDT, Merten, Peha, Siemens, Steinel and Theben.
