The high nominal discharge capacity of 20 kA enables an increased service life compared to the minimum requirements of the standard. The devices consist of a base unit and pluggable protection modules, which can be easily removed to carry out the insulation measurement. They are fully compatible with the installation devices of the pro M compact series and can be bus-mounted with them via busbars. Automatic circuit breakers from this series can also be used as back-up fuses. The surge arresters are tested as type 2 arresters according to the test standard DIN EN 61643-11 (VDE 0675 part 6-11) and class II according to IEC 61643-11.
