There is not just one company behind the name Hekatron. Although it was founded in 1963 as Hekatron GmbH, later Hekatron Technik GmbH and Hekatron Vertriebs GmbH emerged as sister companies. Both companies now operate independently, serve different markets and belong to the Securitas Group Switzerland. The company headquarters are in Sulzburg, Baden-Württemberg. Today, Hekatron Technik GmbH is marketed as Hekatron Manufacturing and employs more than 500 people. It covers the entire spectrum of EMS services. EMS stands for Electronic Manufacturing Services and describes electronic manufacturing services as well as the individual assembly and installation of electronic products in industrial electronics and in the automotive sector. Hekatron Vertriebs GmbH is also known as Hekatron Brandschutz and, on the other hand, focuses on the development of products, systems and services for plant fire protection. It can draw on the experience, skills and innovative strength that generations of specialists have been able to collect in the company over half a century. This company also employs several hundred people. The product portfolio consists of fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, hold-open systems, voice alarms, air conditioning systems, carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishing sprays.
