The company history of Schill GmbH & Co. KG (SCHILL) based in Fellbach/Germany and production facility in Laichingen/Germany began in 1948. With the combination of his technical skills and an eye for the needs of the market, the engineer Otto Schill manufactured a small, portable cable drum . In doing so, he laid the foundation for the worldwide production of cable drums and for the innovative company, which is still characterized today by the special pioneering spirit, market orientation and customer proximity. The success was overwhelming right from the start, the demand increased and so did the number of employees. The offer also developed continuously, products were improved, innovations set standards. Immo Schill, son of the company founder and also an engineer, complemented the company management and set new accents with high-quality plastics. As a result, an in-house tool and mold construction was established. In the meantime, Immo Schill continues to run the company. With his sons, Ingo and Gerrit, the third generation is already in the management. The customer base has also expanded: the areas of broadcasting, TV and video are becoming more and more important, both in Germany and worldwide. At Schill, growth does not just mean getting bigger, but also showing size - with a future-oriented quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 as well as with the responsible use of resources and investment in environmentally friendly systems. Today, the company employs almost 60 people and has long since become a fixture on the international world market.
