Varta

For an electronics retailer like the eibabo® technology store, batteries are part of the indispensable standard range, because they are needed in all households, at work or for leisure activities. They provide clocks, radios, flashlights, wireless computer mice and countless other everyday products with the energy they need. One of the best-known manufacturers of high-quality and powerful batteries is the Varta company. Varta AG is a German company that manufactures batteries for the global automotive, industrial and consumer markets. The name Varta is an abbreviation and stands for 'sales, charging & repair of transportable accumulators'. Varta was founded in 1904 by Adolf Müller as a subsidiary of Accumulator-Fabrik AFA and has had a dynamic history ever since. In addition to being sold to the Quandt and Roderbourg families, the company was also affected by the division of Europe into western and eastern blocs after the Second World War. The business areas and developments of the next decades included, for example, batteries for forklifts and rail vehicles, households, submarines as well as for industry and automobiles. After many ups and downs, the group was restructured at the end of the 20th and beginning of the 21st century and some of the business areas that had been built up over the years were sold, spun off and even later partly taken over again. The company currently has over 4,500 employees and has over 30 locations in Europe and others in Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Japan and the USA. The eibabo® shops from eibmarkt® are aimed at end consumers, companies and industrial customers. You will therefore find here in the range predominantly the classic household and industrial batteries as well as accumulators for all common areas of application - from hearing aids to professional cameras to alarm systems.
