Insertion flange housing

Wires and cables have to be laid in most housings that are used in electrical installations. Therefore, a corresponding area is provided on the housing through which the cables are to be routed. However, since every installation is different and there is no way of knowing in advance how many cables will be laid, it is difficult for a manufacturer to specify the size and shape of the entry area in advance. It is usually too big and dirt can also get in, or it is too small and not all cables can be fed through. For this reason, housings are fitted with variable entry flanges. These are plastic plates with numerous round pre-embossings in different diameters, which can be broken out or cut open as required to pull individual cables through. Inexpensive entry flanges for retrofitting or housings with an integrated entry flange are available from the eibabo online shop.
